Seaton Tramway Triumphs with Three Wins at the Jurassic Business Awards

Seaton Tramway, the unique heritage tramway in the heart of East Devon, is proud to announce its remarkable success at the recently held Jurassic Business Awards. Organised by Marketing West and hosted at the Sidmouth Rugby Club on the 29th of February 2024, the awards were a celebration of business excellence across the Jurassic Coast communities.

In an extraordinary achievement, Seaton Tramway clinched not one, but three esteemed awards. The Tramstop Café, a gem within the Tramway's offerings, was honoured with the Café, Pub and Fine Dining Award, the nominations ‘praised this café right across the board’. Further adding to the accolades, Seaton Tramway was also awarded the Tourism Award, a testament to its significant contribution to the area's tourism and heritage preservation.

"‘An attraction like this is good for the local economy as it has a knock-on effect bringing in visitors to enjoy the scenic beauty of East Devon who then visits other businesses in the area’"

The pinnacle of the afternoon was the unexpected and prestigious Business of the Year Award, a surprise win for the Seaton Tramway team. This special award, for which the team was unaware of it being nominated, highlights the Tramway's overall excellence and impact on the local business community.

These latest wins add to the already impressive tally of five awards won by Seaton Tramway in 2024, cementing its position as a leading light in the region's business and tourism sectors.

Seaton Tramway is sure to carry through its success when it opens Jurassic Discovery later this spring. The new Seaton attraction will first open with a Soft Play and Café, and then a new walk through animtronic dinosaur exhibition, which is set to open for summer 2024.
