Apprenticeship - Admin and Marketing Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join the team at Seaton Tramway’s Riverside Depot, supporting the Commercial Manager and the Marketing Manager and developing a wide range of customer service, admin and marketing skills.

This is a busy and varied role at our offices situated alongside the River Axe estuary. Working with the Commercial Manager you will develop communication and customer service skills, learn how to deal with customer queries, make bookings, check and answer emails and learn about stock control and ordering for our station shops and cafes. You will also support the Marketing Manager to write social media posts, press releases, liaise with the press and media and work on creative marketing projects to promote the Tramway’s activities and events. You will have opportunities to take part in training courses with other staff members and volunteers and you will be able to spend time at our stations to learn how the commercial side of the business works in practice. There will also be opportunities to accompany the Marketing Manager to trade fairs to showcase the Tramway and make new industry contacts, as well as supporting him with the planning and marketing of our regular activities such as Dino Tram, Pirate Tram, Fairy Tram and our highly popular Polar Express Tram Ride at Christmas. From summer 2022 the Tramway will also be hosting the Natural Seaton Festival and you will be involved in marketing for that event. Good communication and great team work is key for this role as you will be working closely with staff and volunteers from the Engineering, Operations and Learning and Activity Teams as well as station staff.

Location: Riverside Depot, Harbour Road, Seaton

35 Hours per week.
