Bird Watching with Ian Waite

Trip Sunday 28th August

Once again a good mix of birds.
Yellow Wagtails and a Wheatear featured among the smaller birds whilst migrating Ruff and Greenshank were seen among the waders now gathering on the Wetlands.

A Peregrine Falcon appeared out of low vegetation and flew across the river as a Buzzard sat in a nearby tree.

As expected this time of year a Kingfisher was spotted.

Approximately forty species recorded today.
