A bumper to bumper fun weekend of events at Seaton Tramway

Seaton Tramway, the unique heritage tramway, has arranged a great Summer evening’s entertainment with the Neil Diamond Tribute Show at Colyton Station on Saturday 6th June and will be providing a special day of transport therapy by holding its popular annual Classic Car Show on Sunday 7th June, which attracts an array of historic vehicles and trade stands.

The tram for the Neil Diamond Tribute Show departs from Seaton on the 6th June at 7.00pm, which will give you a chance to relax and get into the mood as you take a wonderful evening ride along the Axe Estuary.  When you arrive at Colyton you can enjoy a delicious barbecue-style meal before the show begins at 8.15pm.  You will be able to sing along and dance to “Cracklin’ Rosie”, “Sweet Caroline” and “America” to name but three of his best loved songs.  There is a break between 9.00pm and 9.30pm with the performance finishing at 10.15pm. After all the fun and excitement, the tram departs from Colyton at 10.30pm bound for Seaton.

The all-inclusive tram ride, entertainment and meal prices are: Adults £25.00, Children (3-15) £17.00 and Children (under 3) £5.00.  If you are making your own way to Colyton to enjoy the meal and entertainment, the prices are: Adults £18.00, Children (3-15) £12.00 and Children (under 3) £5.00.

The Car Show will be held this year on the 7th June from 10.00am until 5.00pm on The Esplanade between Trevelyan Road and Beach Road, Seafront, Seaton, where many classic vehicles will be lined up to delight the eye and enthral enthusiasts and visitors alike.  This year classic cars, motorcycles and tractors will be joined by a commercial section of buses, lorries and vans, with trophy presentations to winning entrants at 4.30pm by Savannah Sheppard, singer-songwriter, of the Seaton Tramway TV advert theme song. Savannah will also be performing at Colyton Station from 1.30pm.

The trade stands will be based at Colyton, just a tram ride away, so there will be plenty of opportunity for tram rides on our own unique fleet of tram cars between 10.00am and 5.00pm.  In addition there will be the popular Driver’s Eye “learn to drive a tram” Experience, photographic opportunities and some great food at the Tramstop Café at Colyton station.

What better way to spend a bumper weekend with fantastic evening entertainment and a day at our Classic Car Show to explore the Jurassic Coast at Seaton and the townships of Colyford and Colyton, as well as the River Axe Estuary and Seaton Wetlands with all the amazing wildlife to be seen than from the open top deck of an electric tram.

Tickets can be purchased at the Seaton Terminus and Colyton Station ticket offices (or on line at: www.tram.co.uk )
