The “Seaton Pearl” boat tram sets sail on Pirate Day, 2nd September

The "Seaton Pearl" “sets sail” once more on her voyage following the Axe Estuary from Seaton Terminus to Colyton Station on Friday, 2nd September. “Pirate Day” offers a fun family day out at Seaton Tramway, whilst enjoying the picturesque scenery along the River Axe.

“Captain Tim” commented, “Arrrgh, ‘twill be a pleasure to have you landlubbers of all ages on ye ol’ Pearl again.”

“Seaton Pearl”, car no 4, is an open single deck tram car built at Eastbourne in 1961 and based on the famous Blackpool “open-boat” tramcars of the 1930’s. Driven by our Pirate Captain, “shiver me timbers”, and jump aboard for a “swashbuckling” time.

All day ‘Explorer’ tickets cost £10 per adult, £7.50 for children aged 3-15 and children under three accompanied by an adult travel free (Family Saver Ticket (2+2) £30). This enables you to travel on all trams, all day long including the Pirate Tram.
