Wild Art Fair & Competition

Celebrating the Wildlife and Art of the Axe Valley and East Devon the Wild Arts Fair presented by Seaton Tramway will display the best of the arts created by the community. Art, Film, Music and Photography will be displayed in Seaton Station 19th to 25th April* display the theme ‘The Wildlife of Axe Valley and East Devon’. All submissions will be judged for prizes in their categories.

Seaton Tramway is inviting the local community to submit pieces to the following categories: ‘Photography’, ‘Sculpture, drawing & painting’, ‘Film & Music’, ‘Short Stories & Poetry’.

Seaton Tramway will also be introducing its new community project ‘The Marvellous Mosaic Project’ which would provide an interactive backdrop to the fair. Visitors and the local community will be invited to be a small part of the big picture. Using any medium available to them, these small pieces will fit together to create a large piece of artwork to be displayed at the tramway. Local schools and businesses will be invited to participate, as well as introducing drop-in days* across March and April for visitors to add to the mosaic free! The final piece will be displayed digitally during the arts fair.

To celebrate the skill & talent East Devon has to offer, the Arts Fair will also include the
‘Wild Arts Competition’ which will be open to prizes from the Tramway.

The photography category has three submission categories.
‘Adults 18+’,
‘Juniors Under 18’s'

Submissions for all categories will be open to submissions from 15th January.

Artwork will also be displayed by Seaton’s own ‘Seaton & District Arts Society’ during the art fair.

Awards will be announced on the evening of 24th April and winners will be displayed on 25th April.
