Birdwatching with Ian Waite - 25th February 2018
Cold but dry with good visibility and large numbers of birds.
Over a thousand Lapwings impressed and a flock of Curlew and Black-tailed Godwits in the meadows showed well especially in flight.
Flying Wigeon and Teal caught the sunlight and there were numerous Redshank with Oystercatchers on the mud of the Estuary.
At Axmouth the Herons were on their nest defying the cold weather.
As a bonus three species of mammal today.
One Stoat, two Foxes and three Roe Deer, making it a good all round trip.
