08/02/2007: "PINK TRAM LAUNCH 27TH July 2007"


The Pink Tram launch was a great success on 27th July 2007, passengers arrived dressed in pink and the Coly River Jazz Band dressed in pink shirts made for a fantastic party atmosphere. The day was in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

All the staff at Colyton Station and Seaton Terminus wore Breast Cancer Care white or pink t-shirts and even the Office Staff were dressed in pink even a pink wig. John Jeffrey, Engineering Manager dressed in a Pink Panther Suit, Rob Gage in a Pink boiler suit and Uncle Freddie in a 70’s red wig.
Our Tramway Supervisor wore a pink shirt and tie with his Tramway uniform. Everyone entered into the spirit of the occasion.

At the Tramstop Restaurant delicious pink refreshments and a pink cake (made by Abi). All the Tramstop staff wore Breast Cancer Care white or pink t-shirts.

As the pink tram arrived at Colyton station, pink balloons were launched in aid of Colyton Christmas Fayre.

BIG Thank You to everyone, all our passengers, Coly River Jazz band for the music especially the Pink Panther theme and all Tramway staff for making this a day to remember.
